AI-Powered DSPs
Some streaming platforms use machine learning to process music catalogs. These are AI-powered distribution services. Because they process your catalog with AI, delivery to these platforms requires explicit opt-in at the label level, per LabelGrid’s Terms of Service, Section 5(d).
Enabling an AI-powered DSP
Section titled “Enabling an AI-powered DSP”Opt-in happens at the label level — not per track, not per release.
- Go to Label Settings → Retail
- Find the AI-powered DSP you want to enable
- Toggle it on
- You’ll be asked to confirm: “By enabling [DSP name], you acknowledge that this AI-powered service will use machine learning to process your music catalog per TOS Section 5(d).”
- Click I Acknowledge & Enable
Once enabled, the DSP behaves like any other platform in your delivery setup — you can enable or disable it per release using the standard distribution controls.
Releases with AI-generated content
Section titled “Releases with AI-generated content”When a release contains AI-generated audio, composition, or artwork (based on the AI disclosure fields you set), a release-level AI badge appears in the release dashboard so you can see at a glance which releases will reach AI-powered platforms.
If your label hasn’t opted in to any AI-powered DSPs, AI-generated releases aren’t blocked — they just won’t be delivered to those specific platforms.
Why the opt-in is required
Section titled “Why the opt-in is required”AI-powered DSPs use your catalog to train or operate machine-learning systems. This is materially different from traditional streaming delivery, so LabelGrid requires your explicit consent before any catalog data flows to these platforms. You can revoke the opt-in at any time from the same Retail settings panel — future deliveries to that DSP will stop.
